End of the Year Wrap-up

Thanks to all for our amazing Comic-con last Friday – what a great success we had! We are already starting to think about next year’s Con, which will have a fantasy theme. So all my Harry Potter experts, fantasy artists, and Skyrim players start thinking about how you can contribute next year!

Today is our last Makerspace of the year, and our second-to-last Dungeons and Dragons session of the year. Check back here in September for information about how our library activities will be scheduled for the 2019-2020 school year. I hope you all have a great, book-filled summer – happy reading!

Kreps Comic-con Update!

We are busy planning our first annual Kreps Comic-Con, which is taking place on Friday, May 31st after school from 3pm – 6pm. We are currently looking for panelists to discuss two topics: DC vs. Marvel: What’s the Difference? and Manga’s Popularity in the U.S. Are you an expert on either of these topics? See Mrs. Neiderman if you’d like to speak on a panel. We will also have an artist’s alley, and would love for you to display your artwork! Both of these opportunities are open to students, teachers, parents, and community members.

We will also be having a costume contest, since cosplay is such a huge part of comic culture! All costumes must be appropriate – further guidelines will be forthcoming.

Keep your eyes peeled for an official schedule by mid-May. See Mrs. Neiderman if you have any questions!

Project LIT

Don’t forget today after school our book club, Project LIT, is meeting to discuss Long Way Down by Jason Reynolds. Even if you’ve never attended a Project LIT meeting, you are welcome as long as you’ve read this book. We’ve got lots to talk about – see you there!
